‘Slight Collapse’ is the debut release from experimental composer, Ruheman. Created using asynchronous tape looping techniques and centered around a limited sound palette of piano, analogue synthesis and ambient sound, it was born of a desire to document specific moments in time in the composer’s life. Repetitive motifs degrade and phase in opposition to each other, allowing new forms to emerge. Recorded as single live performances in reaction to visual and literary stimuli, each piece explores change through iteration and a yearning to build new structures from existing forms.
